A change of genre...

...hello.


I'm live-blogging from a book signing, for a tome titled "I Got Drunk At My Baby Shower"


It's a memoir written by two fabulous  women, Susan Bowen and Heidi Thompson, one of which is my neighbor and close friend.

The book is a memoir, which is why it's different for this blog, but don't let that discourage you. It's fantastic and provides insight onto the endeavor people call surrogacy.


I would rate this 5/5, even though it was slightly awkward to read about someone else's life, but other than that fact, I would read and reread and reread this. And reread and reread and reread. I'm very happy to have been introduced to this genre through this book, and even though it's a rarity, it's one definitely worth reading.


The book goes on sale via Amazon October 24, and is released through Tate Publishing.


Don't hesitate to read, even if you're a newcomer to memoirs. It'll make you laugh, cry, and just reminisce about life and what it truly means.


Enough with semi-cliché statements. Just read it already.

And for those of you that care, my birthday is in...count 'em, 8 days. So, yes, I have been fangirling and been putting 10, 9, 8, 7, etc. on my hand, like Lena. Hardeeharhar.

You may want to care about the day after that, though, because Cassandra Clare's finale to her prequel trilogy The Infernal Devices, titled Clockwork Princess, is released March 19, aka the day that I will be eagerly camping outside of Barnes & Noble. (Kidding. Or am I...?)

The courage and optimism of 17-year old Zach Sobiech inspires Perri and I, and we want to urge you to purchase the song on iTunes. All proceeds go to his foundation for osteosarcoma, which is a rare form of bone cancer. He is expected to live only until May. The both of us hope that he beats the odds, and that he will pursue his career in music. This may be one of the only songs that, however light and cheery, made me cry.

Update Beautiful Creatures THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hay, Hay, Hay,Hayyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!! So I'm sure you guess have all heard about the New York Time's Bestseller Beautiful Creatures... yea well i bet you didn't know it was going to be made into a MOVIE!!!!(I know you already know just trying to add dramatic affect). "WHAT!!!!!!" you say. Yup and there is only 2 days until it comes out, 1 for all you European people out there. Also for all you guys who haven't read the book I suggest you get started, and remember Don't Judge A Book By It's Movie

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Now  I don't particularly like this holiday for two reasons, One- all the lovesick couples giving eachother gives and acting all sweet is kind of disgusting to me. And Two- IT'S A COMMERCIAL HOLIDAY, it's not a real holiday just something the sales markets invented to sell more stuff, kind of like Christmas and while that is a real holiday most people forget why it's a holiday and just think about the gifts they're going to get. Just remember this the next time your bumed about geting clothes instead of the new x-box because there are some kids in the world who would take clothes over an x-box any day (how about giving something to them instead of getting something yourself).

New Books (Yes!)

Hay!!!!! Sorry about the lack of postage but Cam and I have been so busy with things (Finals last week!). but we're back and ready to read. First I would like to tell you about some new books. :)

First we have Shades Of Earth by Beth Revis. It's the third book in a series about Amy (a girl from Earth who has been cryogenically frozen with her family to travel to the new Earth) and Elder (the leader to-be of the people that were born on the ship). When Amy is unfrozen early and someone tries to kill her, she and Elder must find out who by untangling a series of lies by the people closest to him.

Second is Boundless by Cynthia Hand, the third and final book about a girl named Clara who is an Angel-Blood (part Angel). She needs to figure out what her purpose ( a message from God about what she is supposed to do on Earth) is, find out who her real dad is and try to stay away from Samjeeza--a Black Wing (fallen Angel)--that's trying to kill her because of her mother.

Third is Shadowhenter and Downworlders by Various Authors. In this book various authors talk about the world of Shadowhunters and Downworlders and what they are really like. Topics vary from "How Cassandra Clare came up with CoB" to "Why the best friend never gets the girl", so check it out.

Fourth is Silence in the Shadows by Courtney Allison Moulton. This book is the third in a series about a girl named Ellie who, when she meets a mysterious boy named Will, feels like she knows him more than anyone in the world. On Ellie's seventeenth birthday, Will awakens the power within her and she realizes/remembers that she is the reincarnation of the angel Gabriel who must stop Lucifer from starting a second war between the Angels and the Fallen. Through The Ever Night

Hay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm like really happy because Through The Ever Night the sequel to Under The Never Sky came out today, I got a Nook for Christmas then per-orded the book so i had it at midnight and I'm almost done with it. Also I can honestly say that this is one of the best series i have ever read and Veronica is an AMAZING author.
