The Sea of Monsters
This is for all you Percy Jackson fans! Now as you all know, the film Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief was filmed in 2009 and released in 2010. The film received lots of good reviews and we've all been waiting for the next film to come out. In past years you may have heard rumors that there was not going to be another one...well I'm here today to tell all of you pupils THAT IS A LIE!!!!!!! The second Percy Jackson and The Olympians movie, Sea of Monsters, will be coming out in theaters August 16, 2013, alongside City of Bones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Basically its like...ok...have you ever heard of that new show Revolution? Well, it's kind of like that, mixed with The Walking Dead, except instead of eating you, the crazies just kill you. The author did an amazing job with this book. This book will have you sitting on the edge of your seat and leave you wanting more.

City of Bones, Aug. 2013!
Back at HQ, Perri and I are so excited! I snagged a paperback copy of City of Fallen Angels at Target, and was delighted to find not only an exclusive scene in which Jace narrates Clary's first kiss with him, but also a sticker announcing that the first Mortal Instruments book is being filmed!
WAIT!
I'm not that much of a noob. Yes, I did know CoB was being filmed, and adapted, and the approximated time it would be released. I'M JUST SO GLAD THAT THEY FINALLY PUT IT ON THE BOOKS!!!

Statesville Haunted Prison & City of the Dead
Heh. Heh.
Before you read this, let me tell you how I dragged into it in the first place.
See, I've been dying to go to Statesville for years, after one Christmas, my cousin said it was awesomely scary. So, I was mini-golfing, and I wondered aloud—I need to go out with friends. When I got home, I checked my email, and the golden ticket of scariness was there! I signed up for the Zombie Army Productions newsletter (website is right here) after I saw the zombie bus for the first time, and I keep getting epic emails telling me about how epically epic the already epic Statesville Haunted Prison is this year, and how I can buy tickets on their website.
LIGHTBULB!
This is where I can take my friends! Of course, I'd need friends, but that's beside the point. I have Perri. And my mom.
My mom's been wanting to go for a while, too, so when she heard about my idea to go, she was all like, "Oh, I'll take you!" Perri hasn't heard anything about Statesville, except for what's on the website, which you can visit here. I've analyzed virtually everything about this, and I'm super-prepared, but I know that at the end of the day (night), we'll both probably pee our pants.
Tomorrow night will either be awesome, or it'll just suck.

So...
If you know me (wow, I say that a lot! XD), you'll know that I am an avid rock climber. Just look at my profile page—under interests, it says, 'rock climbing'!!
Anyway, I had a competition today at Vertical Endeavors Warrenville...and failed miserably. In my division, I got last place.
Smooth.
But that's not the point! Once, I had a volleyball coach say that if it didn't hurt after, you didn't do it right. I'm hurting ALL OVER, so, for now, let's just assume I did it right. All the 150 people competing were pretty nice, especially the ones that beta climbed/spotted/signed off/supported me. *round of applause for them*
I learned that it doesn't matter how many routes you complete (2), but how many you attempt (12), and how hard you try (again, hurting all over). When I would fail an attempt on a bouldering problem, people would look at me like I was a bug crawling on the wall of their house. Yes, I failed! At least I'm not in denial, like some people!
The bottom line: Don't go climbing if you don't want to get hurt.
Did I just type that? Haha...maybe I did...
THE REAL BOTTOM LINE: It's the effort that counts.

Did anyone look at the next Heroes of Olympus book, as stated in the very back?

Well, it says that THERE'S GONNA BE A FOURTH BOOK CALLED THE HOUSE OF HADES!!!!!
(Not in those exact words, but pretty close)
If you don't already know, I'm in LOVE with Nico DiAngelo. He's hot, mysterious, and is a demigod. It can't get better than that.
